Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Ernakulam Duronto Express
The Ernakulam–Lokmanya Tilak Duronto is a bi-weekly nonstop superfast train between Kochi and Mumbai,〔(Train Schedule )〕 running through the scenic Konkan route. It is considered to be the fastest option for train connectivity between Kochi and Mumbai.
==Train type==
This train is a typical Duronto Express. It has no commercial stops in between the starting station and the ending station. Only technical halts are applied for this train for staff change, cleaning, water filling etc. It has technical halts at Shoranur Junction (SRR), Mangalore Junction (MAJN), Madgaon Junction (MAO) Ratnagiri (RN). Ticket booking is not allowed to or from these technical halt stations.
On 3rd May 2015 , 10 Coaches of Duronto express derailed near Balli at 6.24 am shortly after departing from Madgaon Junction (MAO) . No casualties were reported
